Curriculum Catch-up - Events, Awards and Colours

Whilst we are only in Week 3, Term 4 is moving along at pace and preparations for our end of year activities are well underway. The Executive team are working on finalising award winners for Speech Night. The ultimate award of Dux of Girls Grammar for 2020 will be awarded on the night using all academic information available to that point.

The Speech Night program will serve as a record of student achievements in this extraordinary year. As always, it will list Speech Night award winners but also all Colours recipients for the year. Students are currently being encouraged to apply for Individual Colours by submitting applications (available in the school’s student planner) by this Friday 23 October. The criteria for all colours and Speech Night Awards are available in the 2020 Student Parent handbook but are also attached for your convenience. Enquiries about Colours can be made to Deputy Principal Students, Ryan Cheers.

Due to current restrictions, we have had to make several changes to Term 4 events from what you may have experienced in recent years. Over the recent term break you should have received detailed information in a letter from Mrs Johnston. This week I thought I would take the opportunity to reiterate some of that information with particular emphasis on the final week for Year 12.

§ All primary students will be able to attend with two guests. Year 6

graduation will form part of our Primary Speech Night.
