Every mad scientist's lab, or Year 9 student's room, needs advanced protection against intrusion by rouge agents or siblings. The year 9 students constructed a laser tripwire "security system" that triggers a response when the laser is interrupted. They incorporated their knowledge of reflection and refraction of light to design a unique security system.
