Engaging Minds and Sharpening Skills at the QAMT Year 5/6 Maths Challenge

We are excited to share the success of our Year 5 and 6 students who recently participated in the Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers (QAMT) Year 5/6 Maths Challenge. This event was a remarkable showcase of our students' mathematical talents and problem-solving skills.

The QAMT Year 5/6 Maths Challenge is an annual competition that encourages students to explore the world of mathematics in fun and innovative ways. Riya, Katherine and Emily demonstrated an impressive level of enthusiasm and determination as they tackled a series of engaging mathematical tasks.

Students worked in teams, collaborating to solve challenging problems, demonstrating their mathematical reasoning, and sharpening their critical thinking abilities. The event was not just about competition but also about fostering a love for mathematics and the development of essential life skills.

The event also provided a platform for our students to meet and compete with other like-minded individuals from schools across the region. The experience was not only intellectually stimulating but also an opportunity to build friendships and grow as young mathematicians.

We are immensely proud of our Year 5 and 6 students for their dedication, hard work, and achievements in the QAMT Year 5/6 Maths Challenge. Their passion for mathematics continues to inspire us, and we look forward to their continued success in future mathematical endeavours. We thank the students for representing our school with such enthusiasm and the teachers and families for their unwavering support in nurturing these young mathematicians.
