The Queensland's Holiday Act 1983 states that ANZAC Day's public holiday will be observed on a Monday but only if it falls on a Sunday, not a Saturday.
In 2020, ANZAC Day falls on Saturday and therefore there will be no public holiday this year on Monday, 27 April.
The 25 April remains a public holiday in recognition of the solemnity of the day.
