Rock the Chop

Updated: Nov 15, 2019

As our morning assembly on Wednesday 13 November progressed, some of our students were feeling anxious but excited as they prepared to lose their locks to raise money for The Cancer Council.

Project Ponytail empowers our girls to make a change in the world. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer. Our Girls Grammar community this year raised over $7,000 which is an amazing accomplishment.

Cancer Council Queensland's Wig and Turban service provides synthetic wigs to cancer patients. The funds raised are used to support families and help fund life-changing research and ensure Cancer Council Queensland can support communities going through their cancer journey.

We are very proud of our Girls for giving up their shiny pony tails and helping raise funds for such a great cause.

Check out the pictures below of some of our girls who rocked the chop.
