Sporting Spotlight

The first season of Club Oztag for the year has come to an end. Unfortunately, both the RGGS teams were knocked out at the end of the rounds with the RGGS Hipsters finishing in 5th and the RGGS Hashtags finishing in 7th. Mason Collins was RGGS’ highest try scorer and Mackinley Cox was our highest player on the MVP standings, well done girls.

The next season of Oztag starts on 6 June and player nominations will be called in the coming week.

Congratulations to Ava Hinchliffe on her selection in the Capricornia 10-12yrs Touch team to play in Brisbane from 16-19 June.

Good luck to Bria, Mackinley and Charlie when they represent the Rockhampton and District team at the Capricornia Cross Country trials on Tuesday next week.

Congratulations to Mackenzie Lawn who has been selected in the RDS 10 - 12 years Tennis team. Mackenzie placed first at the trial and is the top ranked RDS player attending the Capricornia trials.

Congratulations also to Chanelle Apiata for her selection in the RDS 13 - 15 years Basketball team. Chanelle will now travel to Gladstone for the Capricornia trials on 7 June.

Good luck to our rowers as they compete in their first local regatta for the year. Calli, Ellie, Ella and Ellexis would love to have some RGGS supporters at the Fitzroy River Rowing course this Saturday to cheer them along. All the action in the Rockhampton Sprint Regatta kicks off from 8.00am – 1.30pm Saturday 14 May.
