Oztag Season 2

Season 2 of the Rockhampton Oztag Competition got underway on Monday. Our Girls Grammar teams are looking strong this season as we have had good player numbers nominate and have grown back to three teams. The All Schools team is putting the finishing touches on their preparation to head away to the Sunshine Coast at the end of July and with three very experienced coaches this season, I am expecting great things from all our teams.

CQ Championships Regatta

While we were all starting holidays, Calli was competing in the CQ Championships Rowing Regatta on Saturday and Sunday the 25 and 26 June.

On Saturday Calli competed in some combined schools team events where she placed 1st in the Year 10 Girls Double Skull, 3rd in the Year 12 coxed quad skull, and 5th in the Year 11 Girls single skull.

On Sunday she placed second in the Year 10 girls single skull final. It was a nail-biting finish with only 36 one-hundredths of a second between 1st and 3rd place.

Calli is now preparing for the NQ champs in Townsville in August.
