Touch Football

Congratulations to Abigail Hills and Abby Dendle who participated in the National Youth Championship at the Sunshine Coast Stadium. This Carnival was held over four days and the CQ team they were both in placed 2nd overall. The grand final was closely contested with their team only being defeated by one try.

All the very best of luck to our All Schools Touch Football team who travel to Brisbane today to compete in the World All School Touch Football Carnival.

Basketball

Congratulations to both Eryn Dessent and Chanelle Apiata who participated in the State Championships for club basketball over the holidays in Mackay. Chanelle’s team finished 10th out of 35 participating teams. Eryn’s Team finished 4th in their division at the State level after winning their Central Queensland Division. A super effort from both ladies.

All the very best to Chanelle and Eryn Dessent as they represent Capricornia in this month's State basketball trials. Congratulations also to Abbey Fenton who has been selected to officiate at the U15 trials after her U18 competition was cancelled earlier in the year due to COVID.

AFL

Eryn Dessent had an extremely busy holiday break also playing in the Senior Women’s Local Australian Rules Grand Final. Her team finished runners up. At only 15 years of age, it was Eryn’s debut season and she played extremely well throughout the season in a tough competition.

Congratulations to Tyla Cringle who placed 2nd overall in the ODE Interschool Equestrian competition held in Mackay at the start of the holidays.

Tyla also travelled to Toowoomba to compete in Equestrian events and placed 10th at this event.
