As we approach the end of the academic year, it's with great excitement that we share the news of our upcoming weekend getaway to Great Keppel Island (GKI). This is undeniably one of the highlights of our boarding calendar, and we can't wait to embark on this memorable journey with over 80 girls and 10 dedicated staff members.
This weekend's retreat marks a special occasion as it is our last chance to unwind at GKI with our senior girls who will be concluding their boarding journey next Friday. These moments of relaxation and camaraderie are invaluable, creating lasting memories for our departing Seniors.
Organising such an event requires meticulous planning and coordination, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tilly, our Boarding Administration Assistant. Tilly has been the driving force behind the scenes, diligently arranging everything from ferries and buses to tents and ensuring there's an abundance of delicious food and refreshing drinks. Tilly, your hard work has not gone unnoticed, and we appreciate your dedication to making this weekend extraordinary.
We also want to extend our thanks to the staff members who have generously volunteered their time to supervise and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Your commitment to creating a positive and memorable experience for our girls is truly commendable.
This weekend's adventure marks the beginning of a week-long celebration for our Year 12 boarders. Families, as your loved ones partake in these festivities, we kindly ask for your cooperation in submitting leave requests. To facilitate a smooth approval process, please provide as much notice as possible. As Head of Boarding, I am here to assist and ensure that these celebrations are enjoyed to the fullest.
Thank you to everyone involved, and we wish all our boarding families a wonderful weekend ahead. Here's to creating cherished memories and celebrating the remarkable journey of our Year 12 boarders!
