Pink Gate Challenge

Last Friday, Rockhampton Girls Grammar School held its annual Pink Gate Challenge, with nine schools from across the region taking part to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and help raise awareness of the impact of breast cancer in our communities.

A huge thank you to:

Berserker Street State School

Capricornia School of Distance Education

Glenmore State High School

North Rockhampton State High School

Rockhampton State High School

The Cathedral College

The Rockhampton Grammar School

Yeppoon State High School

The creativity, colour and community spirit on display were outstanding, and we were inspired by the effort each school put into transforming their gates pink for such an important cause.

Congratulations to Yeppoon State High School, which was named the winner of the 2026 Pink Gate Challenge by Pinky from Triple M CQ. In selecting the winning entry, Pinky said, “Yeppoon impressed me with the many gates, proactive activities in the school and continuing the conversation all month. Well planned.”

Yeppoon State High School will receive a $250 Visa Gift Card, proudly sponsored by Splash Aquatics Group.

Thank you again to all participating schools, Pinky for judging this year's challenge again, and Splash Aquatics Group for their generous support. Together, we are helping keep the conversation around breast cancer awareness alive throughout October.
