As we warm up for today’s Prep–Year 3 Athletics Carnival, let’s throw it back to our Year 4–12 Athletics Carnival.
From the energy on the track to the costumes of our Year 12s (a much-loved tradition!), it was a day full of school spirit, determination and some outstanding performances. A standout moment belonged to Year 12 student Kaylyn who, dressed head-to-toe in hi-vis, still powered around the track for a record-breaking 200m, before soaring to a huge new Long Jump record later in the day.
Across all age groups, we saw incredible efforts and a number of records fall:
• Kaylyn M. (Open) – Long Jump: 5.25m (previous 4.94m, 1974)
• Kaylyn M. (Open) – 200m: 26.02s (previous 26.77s, 1989)
• Freda P. (12 Yrs) – 200m: 27.11s (previous 28.27s, 2022)
• Ruby W. (9 Yrs) – 200m: 32.11s (previous 37.87s, 2024)
• Ruby W. (9 Yrs) – Discus: 8.36m (previous 8.31m, 2022)
• Paterson House (10 Yrs) – Relay: 1:13.16 (previous 1:17.61, 2025)
• Williams House (11 Yrs) – Relay: 1:16.34 (previous 1:19.78, 2023)
• Paterson House (12 Yrs) – Relay: 1:04.84 (previous 1:10.27, 2023)
Congratulations to all students for their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship, we can’t wait to see more action today from our little ones!
