Congratulations to the 2025 Olympic Changemaker Award recipients, Taylor Brock and Sophie Shaw!
This prestigious award recognises students who demonstrate exceptional leadership through sport and use it as a powerful tool to promote health, wellbeing, and social change within their school and local community. Taylor and Sophie have exemplified these qualities throughout their senior years, making them truly deserving recipients.
Taylor is an outstanding leader whose passion for sport shines through in everything she does. As a Sports House Prefect, she coaches junior netball teams, umpires’ school and club games, and is always the first to lend a hand at primary school events and sports carnivals. Her positive demeanour and supportive interactions make her a wonderful role model for younger students. Taylor’s sporting achievements include representing our school in the QISSN team and competing at State level in swimming. Her commitment, sportsmanship, and leadership set an inspiring example for all.
Sophie leads with integrity and determination, earning the respect of her peers as Captain of the Girls Grammar QISSN team. Throughout her time at Girls Grammar, she has coached junior netball teams and volunteered as an umpire in local competitions. Sophie’s leadership style is defined by her actions; she works hard, stays positive, and consistently leads from the front. Her dedication to sport and her ability to inspire others make her an exceptional role model.
Congratulations again to Taylor and Sophie on this well-deserved recognition!
