Boarding Bulletin

This weekend we are finishing off the term with a flurry of activity. We have the Year 11 Semi-Formal, an Oztag grand final to support, some rugby league finals to watch, shopping, a room change for the girls and a PNG Independence Day celebration. Our six PNG students have organised activities, face-painting, traditional food and music for the evening.

We are still reminiscing about last weekend when 18 boarders served at the Girls Grammar Long Lunch. This was such a lovely afternoon for all involved. We had the pleasure of Hadasshah and Kirsten doing some impromptu singing for everyone in attendance. We were proud of Ros’heta and her acknowledgement of Country which she handled magnificently. Then the staff and guests at the long lunch danced with the girls that were waitressing which finished our day off on a high.

Our Year 12 students are currently in the middle of sitting their mock external exams to see where they are at in preparation for the real thing next term.

School finishes on Friday 16 September at 12.35pm with the announcement of the 2023 prefects after a morning of Touch football.

We are finishing at the same pace as this whole term – never a dull moment. Take care and have a wonderful last week of term.
