Boarding Buzz – Term 4 Begins with a Bang!

We’re off to a flying start in Term 4 – short, sweet, but absolutely bursting with energy, laughter, and fresh faces!

First up, we’re thrilled to welcome our new Acting Head of Boarding, Ms Amita Kapur, to the team! With her warm spirit and dynamic leadership, Ms Kapur is already bringing a fresh spark to our boarding family. Her passion for student wellbeing and creative ideas are sure to make this term one to remember. We’re so excited to have her on board and can’t wait to see the magic unfold!

This term also marks the launch of a brand-new initiative: Wellbeing Wednesday! Each week, our boarders will enjoy a midweek moment to pause, connect, and recharge. From relaxed chats to calming pilates sessions, it’s all about nurturing the mind, body, and friendships. It’s the perfect way to reset and refocus before the weekend fun begins!

Speaking of fun… get ready for some serious dorm pride because Battle of the Dorms is officially ON! Dorms will go head-to-head in a series of exciting challenges - from brain teasers and dance-offs to sports showdowns and creative contests. It’s all about teamwork, spirit, and a little friendly rivalry. Who will take the crown? Let the games begin!

Our weekends are just as jam-packed with joy. This Saturday, a group of early risers will chase the sunrise for a peaceful start to the day, followed by a trip to Yeppoon to soak up the colour and excitement of Pinefest - a local celebration full of music, markets, and community vibes.

Sunday brings the perfect balance: a little retail therapy with a shopping trip, followed by some tranquil time in the garden. It’s all about winding down and enjoying the simple pleasures.

Term 4 may be short, but we’re making every moment count. With new faces, fresh initiatives, and plenty of fun on the horizon, it’s shaping up to be a term full of connection, creativity, and community.
