Boarding News – End of Year Reflections and Farewell to Boarders Dinner

ree

As we reach the end of another incredible school year, it’s the perfect time to look back on all that has made 2025 such a memorable and vibrant year in Boarding. From the first week back to the final days of Term 4, our boarding community has been buzzing with energy, adventure, and connection.

This year, our students experienced an impressive lineup of activities and outings. Whether it was enjoying a night at the movies, exploring the crocodile farm, discovering treasures at the markets, relaxing at the beach, adventuring across to Great Keppel Island, or competing enthusiastically in Battle of the Dorms, there was never a dull moment. These experiences helped strengthen friendships, build confidence, and make lifelong memories.

As promised, we are delighted to share photos from the recent Boarders Farewell Dinner. The girls looked elegant in their attire and thoroughly enjoyed the Parisian-themed evening, thoughtfully curated by our talented chef, Kent, and his dedicated team.

We were also excited to welcome several new staff who have quickly become part of the Boarding Family. Their enthusiasm, support, and care have enriched our community, and we look forward to continuing to grow together.

This year also brought some important changes, including updates to boarding rules and the arrival of Amita in her role as Acting Head of Boarding as we said a fond farewell to Stacey McCarthy, Head of Boarding since 2019. Amita's leadership and fresh perspective have already made a positive impact as we move into a new chapter.

At the same time, we extend our warmest wishes to Tilly as she begins her new journey as a TA. While she will miss the personal connections shared with students and families, she has promised she won’t be a stranger. We look forward to her popping in from time to time to visit the girls and catch up with staff. We also extend our heartfelt thanks and bid a fond farewell to Mrs Lauren Turley, who so capably served as Boarding Administration Assistant during Ms Tilly’s maternity leave.

As we close the year with full hearts and many achievements behind us, we are already looking ahead with excitement. 2026 promises even more fun-filled activities, new opportunities, and continued growth for our boarding community.

Thank you to all students, families, and staff for making this year unforgettable. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and restful holiday break!
