What an incredible evening we shared at the 134th Annual Speech Night, held Wednesday 14 November at the Pilbeam Theatre! The night was a vibrant celebration of our students’ achievements in sport, citizenship, culture, and academics, and it truly showcased the spirit of Girls Grammar.

A huge congratulations to Aysan Aghaei, who earned the distinguished title of Dux of Rockhampton Girls Grammar School - an outstanding accomplishment! Our guest speaker, Jessica Howard (Class of 2000), inspired us all with heartfelt reflections on her school days and her journey to becoming a passionate rural journalist and content creator. Her words reminded us of the power of perseverance and following your passions.

The evening sparkled with performances and special moments, but one of the most memorable was the passing of the leadership baton from our outgoing prefects to the new team. We thank all prefects for their dedication, with special appreciation for our departing Head Girls, Cadence Wone De Rungs and Ella Davison. Their leadership has left a lasting mark. We warmly welcomed our incoming Head Girls, Lydia Johnstone and Charli Roberts, who are ready to lead with energy and vision.

Emotions ran high as we farewelled our Seniors during their final presentation, culminating in Clare Hills’ moving Valedictorian Speech - a moment that will stay with us for years to come.
