On Tuesday 14 June, the Prep - Year 2 girls went on an exciting excursion to the Pilbeam Theatre to see the classic children’s book Edward the Emu brought to life on stage.
Written for the stage by Monkey Baa’s Artistic Director Eva Di Cesare (Diary of a Wombat, Josephine Wants to Dance) the girls followed the emus as they hilariously navigated their own feathered existential crises, seeking to find their place in the world. Meanwhile, unaware of the birds’ internal worlds, their human keepers were in hot pursuit to restore order to the zoo.
The girls were engaged and entertained by the play and thoroughly enjoyed the outing.
