We recently had a visit from ADF Careers at our school. Students took advantage of the pop-up stall to explore a plethora Defence Force careers within the Army, Airforce and Navy. Careers included finance and administration, health, intelligence, logistics, security, and STEM.
We also discussed study options at the Australian Defence Force Academy, delving into the specifics of programs like engineering, science, arts, and business studies. As well as this, the ADF Careers staff took us through the dynamic experiences available at ADFA, from immersive leadership training to opportunities for international deployments and exchanges. It was fascinating to hear firsthand accounts of life at ADFA and how it prepares students for diverse career paths within the Australian Defence Force. We also had the chance to discuss the various entry pathways, including academic requirements, physical fitness standards, and the application process. They provided valuable guidance on how to navigate these steps and make informed decisions about our future.
Overall, the visit left some students feeling inspired and motivated to explore the possibilities within the Australian Defence Force, especially our girls who are a part of ADF Cadets. It was a fantastic opportunity to gain insights and guidance directly from the source. We thank ADF Careers for their visit and hope to see them again soon.
