Fun with flags

Year 6 students began the year by learning about the Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. Discussions included the history of each flag, what the colours and symbols represent, and the importance of respectful use.

The session finished with a creative activity where students designed personal flags to represent five important aspects of their lives, including family, pets, sports, music and favourite colours.
