Our school rowing program is making waves this season, thanks to the dedication and determination of three standout students - Lilian, Maya, and Poppi. These young athletes have been training hard every week, showing up with enthusiasm, grit, and a love for the sport that’s truly inspiring.
So far, the girls have competed in two local regattas, with the most recent one taking place just this past Saturday. Their performance on the water has been nothing short of impressive, and their commitment to the team and each other continues to grow with every stroke.
While there’s been some media buzz - and a fair bit of misinformation - about crocodiles on the rowing course with the 2032 Olympics in sight, we want to reassure our community that safety is always our top priority. Our rowers feel confident and secure every time they launch, and their focus remains firmly on the sport they love.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce a 'Come and Try' rowing session in Term 4. This is a fantastic opportunity for girls who are curious about rowing to get on the water, learn the basics, and experience the camaraderie and challenge that make this sport so special.
We’d love to see even more girls join the program in 2026. Whether you're looking for a new challenge, a way to stay active, or a team to grow with, rowing could be the perfect fit. Who knows, you may even be one of those Olympians competing in 2032!
