Girls Grammar Sporting Highlights: Athletics, Futsal & Age Champion Corrections

Capricornia Athletics Trials Results

Girls Grammar was proudly represented by 14 athletes competing on behalf of the Rockhampton District at the Capricornia Athletics Trials in Mackay last week. The Girls Grammar athletes had amazing success with many podium placings and eight students being selected in the Capricornia team to attend the QLD Track and Field Championships in Townsville in October.

Representative Selections

Congratulations to Gemma Albert (13-14yrs) and Abbey Walker (15-16yrs) on their selection for RDS Futsal teams.

The Capricornia Futsal trial was held earlier this week, and we have received notification that Abbey was selected in the 15-16yrs Capricornia team to attend the state titles in October at the Gold Coast.

Well done to both girls on a great performance at your trials.

Correction – 11 Years Athletics Age Champion

We would like to acknowledge a correction to the results from the 11 Years Athletics Age Champion standings. Due to a technical error, the achievements of Lilah (2nd place) and Ivy (3rd place) were not recognised at the time of the event. We sincerely apologise for this oversight and congratulate both girls on their outstanding performances.

The girls were awarded their ribbons in a short presentation with the Year 5 and 6 classes last week.

Well done Lilah and Ivy!
