International Women's Day 💪

Today we came together as a school community to celebrate International Women’s Day and to acknowledge the importance of having the courage to speak up, support one another, be ourselves, and help our friends and families make the best possible choices.

Our guest speaker, Melissa McGuinness from YOU CHOOSE, shared a powerful message with our secondary students. She highlighted the quote, “A rising tide lifts all boats,” reminding us that when we lift each other up, we all rise together. Her words encouraged our students to be strong, compassionate voices for positive change.

We also had the joy of celebrating an inspiring woman within our own community, Mrs. Christie Dey, who marks 20 years of dedicated service at Rockhampton Girls Grammar School. Mrs. Dey, with her passion for science and her unwavering support for our students, has been a steady, caring role model for two decades. We thank her wholeheartedly for the love and commitment she continues to show our school.

The GRAMMYs!

Each house has been allocated a Grammy Award–winning artist: Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber. We can’t wait to see the creativity, spirit, and talent our girls will bring to the stage.
