Our Year 5 and 6 students had an outstanding season of Interschool Sport.
In netball, three out of our four teams battled their way to the grand final, a remarkable achievement in itself. Even more impressively, two of those teams went on to be crowned grand final champions.
What made the season even more special was the noticeable improvement in every player’s ability. Their passing, shooting, and defensive strategies sharpened week after week. Other schools and coaches even commented on how much our players had developed over the season which is a testament to their hard work and commitment.

In hockey, we saw incredible improvement in hockey skills throughout the season. In the final week of fixtures our girls scored in all four games they played and their hard work through training and game play was rewarded with wins! The girls showed fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship not just on the final day but throughout the whole season and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts. A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to cheer us on during the season, and to everyone who helped track down mouthguards and shin guards so the girls could play safely and confidently. Seeing the girls grow in confidence, support each other on the field and always have the biggest smiles on their faces, displayed the pride and enjoyment they had for playing for RGGS.
