What a day! The sun was shining, the water was sparkling, and the excitement was contagious as our Prep to Year 4 students dove into their annual swimming carnival. It was the perfect weather for a celebration of fun and school spirit.
There was a great atmosphere, with a fantastic crowd of parents and spectators cheering from the sidelines. Their encouragement made every splash and every race even more special for our young swimmers. The smiles on the girls’ faces said it all - they were having an absolute blast!

A special shout-out goes to our 2026 prefects, who stepped up for their very first official duty. From marshalling and timekeeping to lending a hand in the pool, they showed incredible leadership and teamwork. What a brilliant start to their year of service!
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the fabulous organisation of Liz Curtis, Mr Fuller and our fabulous primary staff. Their hard work and dedication behind the scenes ensured the day ran smoothly and safely. A huge thank you to each and every one of them for making these events such a highlight of the school calendar.
Congratulations to our age champions from the Prep – Year 4 carnival on their fantastic individual achievement:
5 Years | Pepper Jasperson |
6 Years | Eddie Kingston |
7 Years | Isabella Barton |
8 Years | Chelsea Hinz |
9 Years | Asher Anderson |
10 Years | Heidi Gunthorpe * |
A big congratulations also goes to our Champion House, Downs, winning by only 5 points in a tight contest ahead of Paterson, Williams and Smith. Well done to Williams House being chosen for the Spirit Award.
The Prep–Year 4 Swimming Carnival was more than just a day in the pool - it was a celebration of community, effort, and joy. We’re already looking forward to next year’s splash-tastic event!
* The 10 years age group has been awarded a champion from the Prep-4 carnival and one from the Year 5 – Year 12 Carnival as these two events swim over different distances.
