Welcome to Term 2! We're kicking off the term with a burst of excitement as we warmly welcome four new boarders to our vibrant community: Eleanor, Payton, Mia, and Sophia. Despite their homes spanning a distance of 2444km from end to end across the state, they're now part of our close-knit family. We're eagerly anticipating their involvement in all the enriching experiences Term 2 has in store.
During the holidays, many of our boarders showcased their talent and dedication at State and Australian Age swimming championships, Senior State Age Netball competitions, and STEM camps. It's inspiring to witness the achievements of our driven and high-achieving girls, and we couldn't be prouder of them.
Our return coincided with the celebration of Foundation Day, and next week, we'll solemnly commemorate ANZAC Day. All boarders will participate in the march, while our Year 12 girls will attend the Dawn Service and Prefects the Rats of Tobruk Service, honouring those who have served our country.
Throughout this term, we have an exciting lineup of events planned, including social gatherings, movie nights, a Girls Night In, and viewing parties for the State of Origin. Of course, we'll also continue our weekly traditions of shopping trips and Park Run.
May brings Beef Week 2024 and National Boarding Week, providing opportunities for us to engage both within our community and beyond. Additionally, we'll celebrate Mother's Day with a Soiree and the highly anticipated Year 12 Formal.
Rest assured, while we embrace these festivities, academic pursuits remain a priority.
We extend a warm invitation to our families to join us for the various school events happening this term. Here's to a fabulous and fulfilling Term 2 for us all!
