Rockhampton Girls Grammar School’s annual Long Lunch was held on Saturday 3 September. 250 guests including current and past parents, Old Girls, current and past staff as well as friends and supporters of Girls Grammar came together in celebration of our 130th Anniversary.
Held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds’ Robert Schwarten Pavilion, guests were greeted with a stylish, inviting dining and entertainment space. Surrounded by lush greenery, guests were transported to an elegant garden setting with accents of pink and marigold, reflecting Girls Grammar’s colours. Attendees enjoyed a three-course picnic style meal, catered by Olive Catering, served by Girls Grammar students.
Entertainment was provided by Louise James FX and two impromptu duets by current Girls Grammar students Kirsten and Hadasshah. Master of Ceremonies Sarah Guilfoyle, who graduated from Rockhampton Girls Grammar School in 1993, provided plenty of laughs, sharing stories and interacting with Old Girls in a lighthearted game of ‘Did You Ever’.
It was a wonderful afternoon for the Girls Grammar community, providing a great opportunity for everyone to have fun, relax, catch up with friends, and share stories and memories of their time at Girls Grammar.
