Club Netball Trials
It’s going to be a big year in Netball for Girls Grammar with 90 players attending the Club Netball trials on Sunday. It was great to see a lot of new faces and the skills they had to offer. On display were some great segments of play, with fluent court movement and player connections already starting to emerge.
With team numbers growing in 2023 to 10 teams, we are calling for coaching nominations for a further two to three coaches. If you are interested in applying, please email Sport@rggs.qld.edu.au for a position description. External volunteers successful in their application for these coaching roles are paid.
The Club Netball season starts on 13 February. Players will be notified of their team and playing night in the coming week.
The first of two QISSN trials was also held on Sunday. It’s looking like the Girls Grammar Representative team is going to be very strong this year with a very high quality standard on display. Making some tough decisions, the selectors shortlisted girls to attend the second trial where the team will be finalised. Good luck to all the players that have progressed onto the next stage in the selection process.
