Young Talent Takes the Spotlight: Josie’s Opera Adventure

Congratulation Josie for your participation in Opera Australia’s production of La Boheme at the Pilbeam Theatre.

This is what Josie had to say about her experience:

“On Tuesday, 28 July, I had the incredible opportunity to perform in Opera Australia's production of La Bohème as part of the Rockhampton Children's Choir.

Around 15 young performers from Rockhampton, aged between 8 and 14, were selected to take part in this special event.

Being involved in this production was not only a chance to sing on stage but also to build friendships during rehearsals, connect with the cast and crew behind the scenes, and gain valuable insights into opera technique and culture.

This experience was a fantastic way to grow as a performer and explore different styles of stagecraft. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in music and theatre.”
