Boarding Bulletin

Term 3 is coming to an end with a flurry of travel plans and activity. We vaccinated another large group of girls today which brings our boarding total to nearly 50% of girls who have now had at least one Covid vaccination. Early next term we will follow up with the second needle. We have farewelled most of our Torres Strait and Cape York girls very early this morning and we wish them all a fantastic break. On Friday we have our Naarah’s touch carnival and primary ball games so we are keeping the girls busy right up until the last minute. Go Paterson!! On Friday morning our families of Year 7 – 9 girls are meeting for a community breakfast.

Sadly we farewell Lily Kittlelty this weekend. Lily has been a valuable member of our Girls Grammar boarding team. The staff and the girls will miss her and we wish her well in her future endeavours. Lily is moving back to Victoria to be close to her family and friends and we hope she will visit us when the borders are open.

Term 4 has lots to look forward to with the Girls Grammar Bulls and Barrels event, our Great Keppel island day trip, boarders farewell dinner and Girls Rock. This year we are hoping to be able to perform as a boarding group at Girls Rock. It is a high standard to make the cut so there’s lots of practice ahead of us.

The boarding staff would like to wish our families all a safe, healthy and fun break and we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 5 October at 1.00pm.
