Boarding Update: A Warm Welcome to Term 4

As we step into Term 4, we're thrilled to welcome back our boarders who returned to lovely weather last Monday. The excitement is building with new staff joining us and the completion of the renovations to Upper Luck. Along with these changes, we've also introduced a new schedule for prep, tech, and bedtimes, which we believe will benefit our boarders' overall wellbeing.

I had the opportunity to meet with parents, staff, and boarders to discuss the reasons behind this change, which aims to improve sleep, encourage interaction among the girls, and support their mental health. Our senior girls had thoughtful discussions about how this new routine might impact their daily lives, and we're looking forward to seeing how these changes influence their sense of community and wellbeing. We will continue to monitor and review the schedule to ensure it meets the needs of all our boarders.

This term also marks a special time as we prepare to farewell our Year 12 boarders. We've planned plenty of activities to celebrate their final term with us, with the highlight being the much-anticipated Boarders Farewell Dinner on the 12th of November. It will be a wonderful evening where we will dress up and honour the incredible journey of our Year 12s.

We’re also excited to welcome Casey Verrall to the boarding team. At the same time, we bid a temporary farewell to Tilly, who has begun her maternity leave. Tilly will be missed, but we’re already looking forward to her return in July 2025. Her replacement will be joining us in the coming weeks, and we are confident they will be a great addition to the team.

I hope to see many of you at our upcoming Girls Grammar events this term. Wishing everyone a fantastic long weekend!
