After weeks of practice, Wednesday saw the whole school from Prep to Year 12 come together to battle out for the title of 2022 House Choir Champions. This year's theme was 'cowgirl' with each house drawing a female country music artist.
First up, Paterson House showcased Dolly Parton with songs including: Jolene, Why'd You Come in Looking Like That and 9 to 5. Smith House followed performing songs from Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift: Our Song, Love Story, I Knew You Were Trouble and We are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Next up was Downs with songs by Carrie Underwood: Church Bells, Something Bad, Before He Cheats, Cowboy Casanova and The Champion. Rounding out the competition was Williams fulfilling Shania Twain songs: Honey, I'm Home, Rock This Country! and Man! I Feel Like a Woman!
With great performances from all houses, it made the job very difficult for our judges Mr Nader, Miss Harwood, Miss Girle and Miss Dawes. While the judges were deliberating prizes were given for each House for Best Participation, Most Enthusiastic, Best Helper and Someone You Didn't Know You Needed, and then the winner was announced........
