The AGMS National Awards and Graduation, held on Sunday 8 March at the Gold Coast, was a wonderful celebration of musical excellence, with outstanding results across students, ensembles, and teachers.
An impressive fifteen Rockhampton Girls Grammar student solo exams qualified for Outstanding Achievement awards, reflecting exceptional dedication and performance.
Both the RGGS String Ensemble and Bella Voce received Outstanding Achievement awards for their high ensemble exam marks in 2025.
Bella Voce was further recognised as Most Outstanding Ensemble in Australia for 2025, celebrating the singers’ dedication, collaborative spirit, artistic excellence, and the inspiring musical leadership of Christina Bond guiding the ensemble.
The AGMS National Awards also celebrated excellence in teaching, with two educators receiving national honours. Alyssa Black and Christina Bond were both awarded National Teacher Awards for Outstanding Achievement, recognising their dedication to student success and contribution to music education.
In addition, Christina Bond was also awarded Top Teacher in Queensland, an honour that highlights her ongoing commitment to nurturing musical excellence.
Congratulations to all students, ensembles, and teachers recognised at this year’s event. These achievements reflect not only individual excellence, but also the strength and inspiration of the wider musical community as it continues to grow and excel.
