Welcome to Term 3: Kindness and Respect Initiative & Term 3 Reminders

Welcome back! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break, filled with fun, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. As we embark on Term 3, we are excited to share some important news and initiatives with you.

This term we are introducing a new and exciting initiative called 'Kindness Koupons.' This program aims to promote our school-wide theme of Kindness and Respect. Throughout the term, staff members and select students will be on the lookout for acts of kindness and respect within our school community. When they spot such acts, they will reward the students involved with a Kindness Koupon. At the end of the term, we will hold a draw where 12 lucky students, chosen at random from those who have received Kindness Koupons, will be celebrated as our Kindness Champions. This initiative is designed to encourage a positive and supportive school environment, fostering a culture of kindness and respect among all students.

As we kick off Term 3, here are a few quick reminders to ensure a smooth and successful start:

  1. Hats: Please ensure that students are wearing their hats to and from school, as well as during morning tea and lunch breaks. This is essential for their sun safety and overall well-being.

  2. Locker Locks: Locks on lockers are compulsory for all students. If your child does not have a lock, or if their lock is in need of replacement, please arrange to purchase a new one as soon as possible. This helps to keep personal belongings secure and promotes responsibility.

  3. Year 9 and 10 Camp: We are excited to remind our Year 9 and Year 10 students about the upcoming camp happening in Week 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to build friendships, develop new skills, and create lasting memories.

  4. Interhouse Choir:  Students are busy at work this term to finalise rehearsals for the upcoming Interhouse Choir Competition, Week 4. More information will be available closer to the date in regards to costume expectations etc.

  5. Year 4, 5, 6 & 8 Camp: Towards the end of the term we have the Year 4 sleepover and Years 5, 6 and 8 camps. Keep an eye out in your emails for more information on these closer to the dates.

We are looking forward to a fantastic Term 3, filled with learning, growth, and plenty of acts of kindness and respect. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.

Wishing everyone a successful and rewarding Term 3!
