In the dynamic world of boarding, one simple truth often rings loud and clear: Busy Boarders are Happy Boarders. When students are actively engaged - whether through sports, arts, leadership opportunities, or social events—they thrive both emotionally and academically.
Structured routines and a variety of activities help create a sense of purpose and belonging. From weekend excursions to evening clubs, these experiences foster friendships, build resilience, and encourage independence. A bustling boarding environment not only keeps boredom at bay but also nurtures well-rounded individuals.
Ultimately, a busy boarding house is a vibrant one - full of laughter, learning, and growth. And in that energy, happiness finds its home, as seen in the moments we capture each week.
As part of our commitment to wellbeing, we’re also supporting students in developing healthy communication habits with their families. It’s natural for boarders to reach out to parents during emotional moments - but sometimes, these check-ins can become overwhelming, especially when intense feelings are shared without context or timing.
We’re helping students reflect on how they connect with home, encouraging them to:
Use journaling or peer support before reaching out
Consider whether they’re seeking comfort or solutions
Access staff and wellbeing resources available on-site
By building emotional awareness and respectful communication, we aim to strengthen - not strain -their relationships with family. Together, we’re helping our boarders grow into resilient, thoughtful young people.
It’s shaping up to be another fun-filled week in boarding, with plenty of opportunities for the girls to stay active, get creative, and enjoy time with friends. Here's what's coming up:
