As Term 4 comes to a close, our Arts students have finished the year on a high note. In Music, primary students spent the semester in Sing and Play, exploring rhythm and melody through percussion and ukulele. Their enthusiasm and growing confidence in ensemble playing were a joy to see. Year 7 embraced their creative side by composing animal soundscapes, blending instrumental effects and recorded sounds to capture the essence of the natural world. Years 9 and 10 brought the

stage to life with a pop concert, performing group arrangements of popular songs. Their teamwork and energy made this event a real highlight of the term. For our senior students, Year 12 completed their external exams, marking the end of their senior music journey, while Year 11 stepped up as official Year 12 students, tackling their first major assessment (IA1) with focus and determination.
In Drama, students in Years 8–10 continued their study of Verbatim Theatre, this time focusing on performance. For their assessment, they presented group performances using scripts written by one of their own members during Term 3. Year 7 Drama students worked on individual or small group performances, showcasing their creativity and growing confidence on stage. Senior Drama students prepared for their external exams, while Year 11 focused on their performance assessment, demonstrating strong interpretive and expressive skills.

In Dance, Year 7 continued their Dancing Through the Decades unit, exploring iconic styles and movements from different eras. Year 8 built on their Cultural Connections unit, deepening their understanding of dance traditions and their significance. Meanwhile, Years 9 and 10 focused on Safe Dance, learning essential practices to protect their bodies and maintain wellbeing while performing. Senior Dance students prepared for their external exams, demonstrating dedication and resilience as they refined their performance skills.
In Visual Art, primary students continued to refine their skills through hands-on projects that encouraged creativity and technique. Year 7 explored Constructivism, learning how this influential movement shaped modern art. Year 8 worked through a unit called Brush and Beyond, with a particular focus on traditional Surrealism and contemporary digital media. Years 9 and 10 continued their Australian identity unit, concentrating on the printmaking process. Senior Visual Art students prepared for their external exams, producing highly developed works that reflected their artistic growth and personal vision.
It has been a term full of creativity, collaboration, and celebration of artistic talent across all disciplines. A heartfelt thank you to our families for your ongoing support throughout the year - your encouragement makes all the difference. Wishing you a joyful festive season and a harmonious start to 2026!
