On Thursday, our school community gathered to celebrate the incredible journey of our Year 6 students as they marked the end of their primary school years. The ceremony was filled with pride, laughter, and heartfelt moments that will be cherished for years to come.
The event began with a beautiful procession of our graduating students, each accompanied by an AI-generated photo showing their transformation from their Prep days to now, a touching reminder of how far they’ve come.
Students shared their favourite memories from Prep through Year 6, reflecting on friendships, learning adventures, and milestones that shaped their time at school. These recollections brought smiles and a few happy tears to everyone present.
Three of our dedicated teachers shared heartfelt recollections, celebrating the growth, resilience, and achievements of this remarkable cohort. Their stories highlighted the unique personalities and talents that make this group so special. Thank you Mrs Brown, Ms Franke and Miss Harwood for everything you have done this year to ensure the students are ready for the next stage in their educational journey.
Students who began their journey with us in Prep had the honour of cutting the stunning graduation cake, designed and baked by Peter Ung. Thank you once again for a marvellous creation.
Each graduate proudly received their certificate, a commemorative pen from Rockhampton City Council, and a beautiful necklace gifted by their teachers - Mrs Brown, Ms Frankie, and Miss Harwood - as a symbol of their hard work and bright future.
In a moving moment, students recited their pledge, affirming their commitment to be leaders of the Primary School for 2025. The ceremony concluded with a fun and joyful procession as the graduates walked out of the hall to cheers and applause.
Families and friends then enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea, sharing stories and laughter as they celebrated this milestone together.
