In Physical Education, students from Prep to Year 8 have been diligently preparing for the upcoming athletics carnivals. They have been focusing on perfecting their skills in various running, jumping, and throwing events. The Prep to Year 3 girls are particularly excited to showcase their abilities at the carnival scheduled for Monday of Week 10.
During theory lessons, Year 7 students have been enhancing their safety awareness by studying different sporting environments as case studies. Meanwhile, Year 8 students have been learning about the significance of lifelong physical activity in combating lifestyle diseases.
Year 9 students have shown remarkable dedication and competitiveness while developing their volleyball team skills. They are also gaining knowledge about their bodies through lessons on positive relationships and sexual health.
Year 10 students are gearing up for senior studies with a unit focused on energy systems, fitness components, and training principles related to Oztag.
In the senior classes, Year 11 students are deepening their understanding and application of anatomy and biomechanics through netball. Year 12 students are analysing the energy systems and fitness components involved in netball gameplay. They are also creating a training microcycle aimed at improving their performance in key positions.
Across all year levels, we have witnessed impressive competition, high skill levels, and a great team atmosphere filled with laughter and camaraderie.
