Routines and good communication are crucial in running a successful boarding program. Our hands are full helping 88 girls navigate their day-to-day lives. It takes a lot of organisation and communication, but we love it. As assessment and exams ramp up these next couple of weeks our routines take on greater importance. We are supporting our girls to get to study on time - with all their gear, laptops charged, and helping them to settle quickly into their homework and revision for exams. We love it when our teachers pop in and help our boarders with their tasks and organisation. Getting enough sleep during stressful times is crucial for our girls. We have a structured bedtime routine with the girls brushing their teeth, filling their water bottles and handing their technology in. Some girls would prefer not to have this structured program but when living in such large groups it is vital that all boarders have peace and quiet at study and bedtime.
Our Year 12 girls are looking forward to their formal next week. We are so privileged to still have this opportunity afforded to us. Schools in other states have had their graduations and formals cancelled this year so we will be making the most of our opportunities here at RGGS. This weekend Deanne and I are visiting Rolleston, Springsure and Emerald. We are hoping to meet with many of our families and speak with you in your home towns. Please spread the word so we can catch up with past, present and future Girls Grammar girls. Wishing you all a fantastic weekend.
