Celebrations and community events are an important part of a boarding community. Here at Girls Grammar we have been enjoying lots of activities which have emphasised our community connectedness. We had over 30 boarders participate in the Rocky River Run on Sunday and it was a sea of pink and gold. It was lovely to see both the day and boarding students, together with staff, running alongside one another. This weekend we celebrate our Year 12 boarders’ journey with their formal. We are looking forward to seeing these gorgeous young ladies dressed in their finery celebrating with their friends and families. These events remind us how fortunate we are that we live here amongst our friends. We anticipate the welcoming of new boarders and returning ones in the coming weeks. Our boarding family continues to grow which is wonderful for our school. In the next couple of weeks I will be out amongst our past, current and prospective families, meeting with them in their home towns. These trips are a highlight for me. The many kilometres we travel helps us to appreciate the vast distances our families travel regularly to give their daughters the opportunity to attend our wonderful school.
