Girls Grammar Boarding Bulletin: Week 7, Term 1 2023

Year 6, 7 and 8 girls have an exciting weekend ahead with the much anticipated Social attended by St Brendan’s and St Ursula’s boarders. These events are important for all boarders to participate in, as it gives them a safe and supported opportunity to make friends and memories with students from other schools.

Next weekend we are off to Great Keppel Island; a very popular activity for our girls.

Last weekend our girls learned the value of service. I was proud of the 22 senior boarders who volunteered for the Girls Grammar Long Lunch. It was a long, hot day yet the girls smiled, worked, and impressed all those in attendance. Miss Hawkswood also spent the day coordinating and assisting our amazing, young ladies. Even more special were the number of girls who told me how much they enjoyed the experience, and they would do it again.

Whilst we are keeping the girls engaged and busy, it is important that they continue to keep on top of their school work. Teachers have been communicating with boarding staff regarding what is due and what the girls need to be working on. Our Girls Grammar community is working hard to keep the girls on track with their studies.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend as we hurtle towards the end of term.
