The RGGS show team has certainly had a lot of fun this year attending local shows. We attended Caves Show, Beef Week 2021, Ridgelands Show, Rockhampton Show and Mt Larcom Show. We achieved numerous placings and had immeasurable amounts of fun.
Some of our highlights include Champion led commercial heifer and Second place in the school’s competition at the Rockhampton show. The students also achieved numerous placings at each of these shows in Junior Parading and Junior Judging, as well as in the Led classes.
We had a team of five steers and one commercial heifer. Some of these were donated and some of them were shown with the owner retaining ownership. Over the school holidays we had a few of our team members attend Junior Beef with three of our steers. We will continue on to the Mt Morgan show and the Moura Festival in Term 3.
